Scupriri - The Sounds of Sicily

Scupriri are a Sicilian folk ensemble based in Sydney. The meaning of ‘scupriri’ in the Sicilian language means to discover, and it is this sharing, learning and discovery of Sicilian culture that is the heart of the group. Traditional Sicilian songs and tunes are performed on violin, double bass, guitar, piano accordion tamburello and maranzano, and sung in Sicilian language.
