Performing Artists Dungog: Low Key - Phyl Danvers & Friends

Phyl has been a secondary school classroom music teacher for over 40 years. She has performed professionally in a jazz trio (Grandiva) and as a solo artist, been a member of the production team of Starstruck for over 25 years, and is at present directing a community choir through the University of Newcastle. Over her years in teaching, she’s been involved in North Coast, State and Hunter Music Camps as a tutor as well as a HSC music marker and presenter.

In her spare time, Phyl enjoys arranging and writing music for choirs and instrumental groups.

Her love of music and involving students and community is never-ending and always a delight. ‘Low Key’ is a chance to showcase students and ex-students from Dungog High and the community in the intimate setting of the Royal Hotel library.
